I do not work for Adobe in any capacity. The company I work for is not located in SF – we are on the east coast. We are also not interested in contract work.

Greta stuff. It would be interesting to create an inventory of possible directions for research, in which people can go and contribute initially just ideas as the ones described by you.

As the inventory is created, contributors can start suggesting ways to accomplish things, links to useful resources, etc. I think many open source spin offs can start from there, but the main value to the community is the whole brainstorming process of how to start with an idea, and then how to research what tools, architecture, and other things that are needed to accomplish them.

At the end I see it as a community learning platform. Many users will document, expand on the ideas, create code snippets in their own blogs and that will be just fine. They will get more exposed and improve their connections, their knowledge of the Flash/Flex ecosystem, and their professional value. And they will contribute to the learning experience of other developers.
